Purchases, Payment and Shipping:
Payments are accepted via credit card/debit card online via PayPal or personal check/money order/cashier’s check in the mail. Items paid via check/money order may be held to allow the payment to clear prior to shipping
Payment plans are accepted on art and merchandise purchases with a minimum 20% down (of total invoice). Time allotted for payments depends on the item and total price (please contact to discuss, I am quite flexible). Payment plans are interest-free
Items cannot be placed on hold until payment is made. Items do not ship until paid in full.
If a buyer has an item on layaway and decides to cancel the order, a refund will be issued less a 20% restocking fee (depending on circumstances)
Returns are generally not accepted
Any refunds given for cancelled orders will be minus any applicable fees (such as nonrefundable fees taken out by PayPal) unless the refund is due to cancellation or mistake on the part of TDArt or refund is due to lost or damaged parcel.
All payments will be made in USD (US Dollars) unless otherwise noted at convention outside the US. All online payments are to be made in USD
Shipping is added to each purchase based on buyer location. The buyer is responsible for paying shipping and shipping type/carrier may vary depending on item value and buyer’s location.
Buyer is responsible for ensuring TDArt has accurate and up to date address. Check all order accuracy when submitting payment. It is your responsibility to inform TDArt of any changes to that address. If you are on a payment plan or awaiting a commission, it is your responsibility as the buyer to keep TDArt informed of any changes to your address after initial purchase.
Buyer is responsible for knowing their country import laws and are responsible for their own fees or import taxes as applicable. Note to any UK buyers - with the new Brexit regulations as of Jan 1, 2021 imports have changed. This may affect your purchase and will be handled on a case by case basis.
All items are shipped at full value and covered by insurance. Many items will require signature upon delivery
Colorado buyers will be charged 4.5% sales tax for any sales through the site. Sales tax at conventions will depend on local law
By making any purchase through TDArt, the buyer agrees to all of the above terms, as applicable
Email with any questions and we’re happy to discuss any specific cases as needed
Commissions:
To provide the best experience for artist and buyer, payment is due to TDArt in full up front to secure a commission spot. This system is setup to create a safety net for both the buyer and seller and to help everyone involved in the transaction to feel secure about the purchase. While issues are not anticipated, this way the buyer is protected in the rare event of a commission not being completed and the artist is protected from completing a commission and not getting paid by the buyer. If for any reason the list is cancelled, the buyer will receive a full refund
Commissions are nonrefundable unless there is the very unlikely event of a significant issue with completion of work with an artist, upon which the buyer is eligible for a full refund if the piece has not yet been started and a refund is agreed upon by TDArt.
Time for completion varies depending on the artist and their current schedule. We will provide time estimates when possible but cannot guarantee completion dates. We will communicate commission updates with buyers. We are very communicative and also happy to talk so if there are ever any questions about a commission, just reach out!
When booking a commission, the buyer is paying the artist for their time and expertise in creating their vision of the commission request. Requests on character, scene, etc are taken when the commission is booked, and the artist will ask any questions as needed to help them determine what they will create. Occasionally artists may share work in progress shots of commissions at their discretion. Any notes or requests for change to the commission by a client may or may not be accepted by the artist, depending on the circumstance, and may require additional payment depending on the situation. We work hard to make sure everyone is happy, and we will ensure requests are taken into consideration with commissions. However, commissions are not eligible for any refund in the very rare chance the buyer is not satisfied with it
TDArt and the artists reserve the right to share commission images on the website, social media and other avenues
Commission prices vary depending on the artist and the size, medium and detail of the request. Please inquire for any specifics on a commission not covered by the pricing structures. We may change prices at any time and commission availability may open and close. Any details and pricing for a commission are discussed prior to payment and once a commission slot is paid and secured that level will be honored, even if price increases or the list closes afterward
Purchasing a commission allows the buyer to keep the original art but all rights to replication and publication remain with the artist and any respective companies
If there is interest in commissioning a work for publication, please inquire. Pricing for commissions for publication will vary based on the project
Sketch cover commissions are accepted by most artists. Artists do not supply blank sketch covers unless advertised. Client is responsible for safe shipping of blank covers to the artist (or to TDArt if requested by the artist)
Any CGC services for blank covers are completely the client’s responsibility and these commissions may not be accepted by every artist. If interested in having a book sent to CGC, the buyer must discuss with TDArt in advance to ensure the artist agrees and the buyer is responsible for providing all paperwork filled out that only requires the artist signature. The buyer is required to pay for your CGC services. We will ship to the CGC address that you provide us. We will not accept your completed CGC books, please ensure those are directed to be mailed back to you. Artists will do their best to be careful, but we do not offer grade guarantees.
Convention commissions booked in advance require a deposit in advance to secure a spot (percentage varies but will be discussed up front). Any commissions booked at a convention require payment in full prior to the piece being started. We do not offer mail option for convention commissions unless it is advertised for that show.
Artists reserve the right to refuse any commission request
By scheduling a commission with TDArt, the client agrees to all the above terms (including payment and shipping), as applicable.
Purchase and Consignment Notes
Consignments may be accepted at TDArt’s discretion. Please contact for details and to discuss additional terms as they apply.
Art will be marked as sold (and removed from the site) asap once payment is received or marked on hold if put on a payment plan. Items are not listed as sold or on hold until payment is received. However, these are one of a kind items and processing takes time, so there is a small chance that a piece inquired about may sell in that short window before it can be marked as sold. Items are sold on a first come, first served basis, so if we received multiple inquiries about one piece, they will be offered in the order we were contacted. If we receive multiple inquiries we will contact each person regarding status. We do our best to ensure everyone has a fair experience and has the chance to own wonderful art.
Purchase of any art does not give the buyer any rights to replication and publication, which remain with the artist and any respective companies, unless otherwise noted and agreed upon in the sale (such as with a commission for a published project). Please inquire regarding any questions about this.
Please contact TDArt with any inquiries regarding offer or interest in published work/projects with any of our artists.
Note about Original Art - Original art is a one of a kind, unique item that was created lovingly by hand. As such, part of that process sometimes results in stray marks, rounded corners, rough patches, minor lifting, indentations, stains and/or other minor wear and tear that comes naturally from handling the medium and tools used for the artwork. As such, I will not note all normal imperfections on a piece from the creation of the art. Any damage outside of the norm or that is excessive will be noted. I do my best to provide scans that are high quality so you can see the art well but am always happy to provide additional photos or scans of a piece upon request or additional information if needed.
Making clients happy is our goal and we will always do our best to meet or surpass your expectations. This business is run by an art collector who understands how it feels to be on both sides of a purchase. Know that creating a win/win situation is the goal of every transaction and TDArt will work their hardest to ensure clients are satisfied and transactions are successful.
